« Il est temps de passer à la vitesse supérieure ». C’est par cette déclaration solennelle que Monsieur Makhthar DIOP, le numéro UN, de la Société Financière Internationale a bien voulu hisser la République Centrafricaine à un niveau remarquable de respectabilité et d’attention particulière en lui accordant une place privilégiée pour ses investissements à partir de 2025.
Présidant ce jour 21 avril 2025 une réunion de travail entre SFI et la délégation centrafricaine conduite par le Pr Richard FILAKOTA, Ministre de l’Economie, du Plan et de la Coopération Internationale, dans le cadre de l’Assemblée générale de Printemps à Washington, le Directeur Général de la Société Financière Internationale (SFI), filiale du Groupe de la Banque Mondiale, a annoncé sans détour son intention de mobiliser un portefeuille financier important pour la relance de l’économie de la République Centrafricaine.
Pour joindre l’acte à la parole, il a procédé séance tenante à la mise en place d’une équipe de travail, appelée à collaborer avec les Autorités centrafricaines pour atteindre les objectifs fixés dans le cadre de ce partenariat, conformément à la vision du Président de la République, Chef de l’Etat, Pr. Faustin Archange TOUADERA qui veut faire de la RCA, un pays prospère et émergent. Le pragmatisme du Directeur Général dans la gestion des projets ne s’est pas fait attendre, puisqu’il donne rendez-vous à toute l’équipe dans six (6) mois pour faire le point de l’avancement des travaux.
Dès lors que les activités de SFI en RCA visent à stimuler la croissance du secteur privé et à améliorer l’accès au financement en développant les services financiers numériques, en soutenant les chaînes d’approvisionnement agricoles, le présent partenariat entend mettre en œuvre plus de 15 projets dans le secteur de l’énergie, de l’agriculture, de la digitalisation, de l’Investissement et de la Compétitivité des Entreprises pour l’Emploi (I-Compete) à travers un partenariat public-privé et le déploiement d’une Zone Economique Spéciale.
La présence renforcée de la Société Financière Internationale aux cotés de la République Centrafricaine permettra dans un proche avenir de promouvoir le développement des chaînes de valeur agricoles, de favoriser le financement des PME, notamment les jeunes entrepreneurs et les femmes, de rehausser le niveau des investissements dans les infrastructures critiques (énergie, TIC, logistique) en mode partenariat-public-privé, de travailler à l’amélioration du climat des affaires.
Somme toute, le partenariat entre la RCA et le SFI à travers le Ministère de l’Economie, du Plan et de la Coopération Internationale entend s’inscrire dans une vision durable, ambitieuse et orientée vers les objectifs poursuivis par le Plan National de Développement (PND).
MEPCI-RCA est une institution gouvernementale essentielle chargée de la gestion des affaires économiques, de la planification du développement, et de la coordination des relations internationales en matière de coopération et d’aide au développement.
