Le peuple centrafricain a choisi de miser sur la continuité et sur le projet de développement du Président Faustin Archange TOUADERA lors des élections présidentielles du 28 décembre 2025. Dans le sillage de ce scrutin, les partenariats internationaux se renforcent, un signe de l’engagement du pays dans sa trajectoire de développement.
Ce lundi 26 janvier 2026, le Pr Richard FILAKOTA, Ministre de l’Économie, du Plan et de la Coopération Internationale (MEPCI) et Gouverneur de la Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) en Centrafrique, a reçu dans son cabinet Mr Mamadou COULIBALY, nouveau Représentant Résident de la BAD.
Dans ses mots de bienvenue, le Pr FILAKOTA a, au nom du Président de la République, Chef de l’État, Pr Faustin Archange TOUADERA, adressé ses chaleureuses salutations à Mr Sidi Ould Tah, Président de la BAD, et a rappelé les liens solides qui unissent la République Centrafricaine à cette institution. Il a souligné l’importance de la BAD parmi les partenaires du pays, en particulier pour la concrétisation des projets stratégiques du Plan National de Développement (PND), qui est une initiative phare du Président TOUADERA.
La discussion entre les deux hommes, bien que brève, a porté sur des projets d’envergure, tels que la construction d’un pont reliant le Centrafrique à la République Démocratique du Congo, ainsi que la finalisation du Corridor 13 – une infrastructure routière qui va connecter la RCA à la République du Congo, afin de faciliter les échanges commerciaux entre les deux pays.
Mr Mamadou COULIBALY, Expert du Développement qui a récemment servi à la Banque Islamique en Arabie Saoudite, au Sénégal et au Nigeria, a exprimé la gratitude de la BAD envers le Centrafrique, notamment pour son implication dans la 17e reconstitution du Fonds Africain de Développement (FAD-17) destiné à soutenir les pays africains les plus vulnérables.
Avec la crise désormais éloignée et la stabilité renforcée en Centrafrique, M. COULIBALY a réaffirmé son engagement, ainsi que celui de la BAD, à prendre part au tournant historique du développement centrafricain. Le PND, qui ambitionne de propulser l’économie du pays d’ici 2028, représente une étape clé de cette transformation.
La rencontre entre le Pr Richard FILAKOTA et M. Mamadou COULIBALY* s’est conclue par un vœu optimiste, alors que les rideaux s’ouvrent encore sur l’année 2026 : « Que cette année soit celle de grandes réalisations ! »
MEPCI-RCA est une institution gouvernementale essentielle chargée de la gestion des affaires économiques, de la planification du développement, et de la coordination des relations internationales en matière de coopération et d’aide au développement.
